I always thought that if and when the Amiga "came back" (and by that I mean properly re-emerged as a viable platform with powerful features designed to compete on at least some level), it should have been named the Phoenix, for obvious reasons...

I do like the "A1 X One Thousand" monicker though...

It's all pretty much neither here nor there though, as if/ when I get one, it will simply be my new Amiga

Well, i know i will call my A1-X1000 for "Xandra"

Speaking of that, i am able to buy an AmigaOne X1000 for
15.000 NOK this summer. That would be around 1500 Euro,
i guess, depending on the final setup of the machine..

Looking forward to it..

The biggest question is how much memory can we be able to have in the A1-X1000, and used under AmigaOS? Curious about what CPU (we will know later, for sure), but mostly if the speed is going to be faster than 1.6Ghz? Not that 1.6Ghz is bad, as it's not, but just to be sure.

I expect 2Gb RAM to be usable initially, and something like 1Gb on the GFX card. Not sure if we see support for 4Gb before AOS4 can handle 64bit addressing, unless GFX RAM is separated somehow from the rest of the RAM addressing... (dont know how it's done on modern HW)

And I think it has been confirmed that the production version will run higher than 1,6Ghz. I bet 2Ghz is the clock. (And I bet 2x800Mhz or 2x1Ghz for RAM)
