When i start tunenet it's ok. But as soon as i start playing mp3 or stream music it starts eating up all my ram. Until the ram is empty and everything is dead slow.

Anyone else got this problem?

It's on an sam 440ep 667. Tunenet installed from the uodate iso.

Is it actually Ringhio eating up your ram (Tunenet uses Ringhio to display messages). Try to enable off screen window dragging in GUI prefs to see if it helps. (It's a known problem.)

Thanks. That did the trick. Finally i can use tunenet again.

Since it's a known problem, then they have a fix ready for that when the time is ready?

To disable it fully you'll have to remove the RinghioServer from startup using the WBStartup preferences.

To disable just TuneNet's messages launch the Notifications Prefs and untick TuneNet (and TuneNetDock) from the list of Applications. Just remember to turn it back on again when the Notification system is updated if you want TuneNet tune messages again.

Cheers,
Bean.

One of the first things I did was disable screen dragging on my micro after the update. Wasn't long after that I noticed something was eating my ram at times. I tracked it down to the RinghioServer & tracked it down to the GUI prefs setting. No memory problems with Ringhio running with TN or any other app after turning screen dragging on again. I just set the edge resistence to 9, which almost stops screen dragging from happening.

Ok,i sat it to 1. Think that was deault. Will try to set it on 9,just to see if there is any change. As TN is a great program.

If it still leaks memory, there may be another problem setting that no one has discovered yet. Just turning on dragging solved my problem, but I have a micro.

A full new experimental release will be released soon. A bit of detail is on the TuneNet home page. http://tunenet.co.uk
