Knowing that MED SoundStudio for the AmigaOS is now dead, the only version of MED SoundStudio is now for Windows and Linux...
The process of making a new MED SoundStudio for AmigaOS was dumped, unfortunately BEFORE the news about the AmigaOne X1000, the ongoing development and the latest update of AmigaOS 4.1...
Is there something we can do to trigger the need of resurrecting MED SoundStudio for AmigaOS again?
Can RBF Software be convinced so that they can bring this back to AmigaOS? SoundStudio would feel more "home" if returning back to the Amiga...
This is such an excellent music program that it simply can't die away, and it's unique and important for the Amiga as well...
Please, let save MED SoundStudio for the Amiga!

I like your spirit Helgis ..maybe Trevor can donate a brand new X1000 to the MED SS Team to give them some inspiration to get back into the Amiga again
That should be possible, and i think i might know a way to get that attention. There is a provided email-address for sending questions to that interview with A-EON...
One possibility is to ask a question regarding music creation with X1000, so this might just be a perfect opportunity to get the right attention...
Thanks anyway!

Protracker 4, right? Yes, i did when i had my latest Amiga setup, which was a 1Ghz A1G4XE with Pre4 OS4.0...
It was a cool program, but my favourite is still SoundStudio.
He didn't say Protracker, he said ProTrekkr. It uses softsynths though, so don't try to run anything in the background while trying to play music with this.
The current state of OctaMED ("dead as a parrot") has little to do with Amiga hardware, so the X1000 cannot be expected to change anything. The tracker flew on the 68040, and the current available boards provide more than enough power for such a program - yet we have no OctaMED.
Quite a few people have failed to make a PPC port, lacking resources or struggling with ancient code (probably both). Alfred might have succeeded but his illness prevented him from delivering. I think Ray Burt-Frost lost interest because the project fell through so many times. I doubt he will give his consent ever again.
Well, i don't expect a miracle to happen here, but i came into contact with Trevor Dickinson in AW.net by sending him a PM. I told him i was very impressed about the work on X1000 and the process of bringing AmigaOS 4.1 to the X1000-hardware...
I also made some questions about music creation with X1000, and at that point i mentioned the deceased Amiga-version of MED SoundStudio...
It's possible that he might come into contact with RBF Software somehow and provide a SAM440-Flex for them to restart the development of a new Amiga-version of MED SoundStudio, so we will see...

Well, my mind is sometime a little rusty. I hope the person that surely tried to be funny about me not having a mind, wasn't trying to insult me somehow, so i try to take that as a funny joke..
Sometimes it's just easy to forget something...
