anyone have their backplates for their Sams yet?

I have got my backplate from Alinea a few days ago.

I contacted Amiga Kit last week about the backplate and they said they were due to get them in in a couple of weeks and would be dispatching them then.

same here. i open a ticket for the backplate, but no answer yet.

AmigaKit told me they would post news item (on their site) when they get the backplates in. We've waited this long already, so I'm sure a few more weeks won't make much of a difference! (Those spiders have already made a nice home on your warm CPU;)

I got my sam from I.M.M Informatique that don't sell them anymore.

ACube says they were replaced by NG Informatique, who say they don't have any backplates from ACube.

ACube have had a week to respond to my e-mail but haven't yet.

Have tempted to contact faranheit (NG informatique) (Email and MSN) without luck untill now........

looks like Amigakit has got them in now!..got an email todat stating that my backplate has been chosena nd is ready to be dispatched

I got a mail from Vesalia that my backplate was dispatched earlier today.

When you say "until now", that normally infers that you didn't have any luck, but now you have.

Or did you mean that you still haven't had any luck yet? Since I haven't.

just a thought.. How will this system finally work? Acube will send the backplates to the provider to ship them to the buyers??

I am taking a guess here that this hasn't happened yet because of who might cover the shipping cost of these plates to the buyers!! It is obvious that amiga e-shop have shipped to several buyers at great distances around the world... Maybe that's why there is no answer on the matter, because of the shipping costs.

Well I got my backplate straight away... just contacted Alinea and had it about a week after the announcement. Shipping costs where paid by my dealer. BTW think about getting the VGA cable also, it gives a far enhanced qualitiy for your VGA. It fits nicely to the new backplate, and I think shipping is for free...

thats what i am talking about, the costs were paid by the dealer from which dealer we do not know (or care) if he has agreed to be repaid by ACube or not, probably in other cases there was no agreement yet for the shipping costs to be passed to Acube from the dealers
