OWB3.23 praise and question thread

Yay, it not even feels faster ... it is

The close button for tabs is a neat idea, although for my tase it's too much window close button related. I catch myself all the time trying to close a window right behind OWB...heh

Now for the question:

How can i make the font sizes displayed in OWB bigger without messing up nearly every page layout i visit?

I need to use 1920x1200, the other modes give me problems, see the Syncmaster blanking thread.

Thus the fonts are much too small for my aged eyes and it isn't fun to surf that way

Any ideas?

I already tried the MinFontSize and FONTXDPI, FONTYDPI, but as i said they tend to mess up some sites, especially side panels there

@Raziel

I just set this: MINFONTSIZE=13
Works nice here for me. Looks nice. Haven't seen anything wrong with this(NOT that i notice anything at all,since i'm old ).

For me OWB 3.23 often hangs if I resize the window (show contents when resizing is chosen). When it happens I need to reboot.

When I tried to resize the window without show content it didn't freeze but instead the display area was smaller after the resize.

Can someone confirm this?

It's good to have individual close gadgets on tabs of course, but I really miss the minus-tab introduced in 3.22 as with that I was able to rapidly close multiple opened tabs without moving the mouse. It'd be great if it was brought back optionally via tooltype and placed next to the add tab button.

@MaXXiMuZZ

Font aliasing is a system-wide feature: you should change the font settings for that (see the Font preferences program).

One more good think with 3.23 : if you have problems with resolving/connect , you just can press on close gadget of that tab, and that will be closes. It's kind of workoraund for "asynchornic" loads. Before it was like that: If site not reached, you need only wait and nothing more. For now, it's for first can be closed, and for second, you can stay it in that state, open new tab by "+" gadget, and continue your work without thinkg about with/unresolved tab (which you can closed later).

Is anyone else having difficulties with facebook on OWB 3.23?

I cannot log into the site because the user ID and password boxes are really narrow and non functional - I can click on them but cannot type into them.

I'm wondering if my core fonts install is causing problems, but no problems with this site, BBC, Amigaworld etc

Hotmail.com doesn't display properly after I've signed in too, it just gives me a white screen with the windows graphic, Bing search box at the top and an exlamation mark in a yellow triangle below them.

I'd like to say how pleased I am, that since 3.22, when using OWB to access my networked HP all-in-one printer's webserver, scans are now saved as pdf's.

This adds a lot to OS4.1's functionality as my everyday machine.

How do I get OWB 3.23 to respond to my scrollwheel on my mouse. Sometimes it works for scrolling up a web page. Sometimes, if I am really lucky, it will work for scrolling down a web page. Usually, it will scroll down just a bit and sit there. Then I have to use the vertical scrollbar or the up/down arrows in the bottom right corner of the window. As far as I can remember, it worked when I first installed OWB 3.23 on my AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 system.

The exact moment I start to whine about this issue in the forums, it suddenly works again just long enough for me to think I was dreaming.
