Sam460ex from Acube-Systems

Yeah, this sounds like the perfect successor to the AmigaOne at last. And for those who can afford it can have their power X1000's too. :) But this will be a great entry level machine, I love it.

The SAM460ex doesn't really seem as a low-end system, but merely as a mid-range system with more power.

It's looking very good, indeed.

well, the definiton of "entry level" has to increase every so often. It's good that our entry level will finally be 1GHz and PCI-e.

But yes you are right in that Sam460 is faster:
Sam460 has 533 Mhz ram bus, Sam440 has 266 Mhz ram bus.

- PCI slot, 32 bit, 66/33 Mhz, 3.3V
- 2e+4i USB2
- 2x 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports
- xena + xorro (instead of FPGA)
- integrated SD card reader
- RTC clock
- Serial port, 8-wires
- I2C and SPI/I2C buses
- Full system for 800? + tax
