Some rumours say that AmigaOne X1000 still lacks important BOOTING-facilities of AmigaOS 4.1, and that some might express worries that X1000's possibilities to boot into AmigaOS 4.1, won't make it into the release time in June this year..
I certainly hope this is not true, and that everything will process with success..

Wow, they do? Already? That is good news. Then why did this old PC-friend of mine claim they didn't? I guess he was trying to trap me into that Windows/Microsoft dominance again, but he failed...
Some of you might know him by his old nickname "Amigadigger". He was the one. Not trying to revenge him somehow, but to let you know..

Hehe, extremely good point. He hasn't been involved anything related to Amiga since late 90-ies, neither did he develop anything for Amiga. He was only a former Amiga-user..
I explained to him that the people behind this new Amiga project, like Hyperion Entertainment, are no fools and that they know what they are doing...
I didn't believe this old friend, but just to be sure, i had to take up this topic to bring out the truth to show him...
I had to laugh about him really. How could there be no booting facilities for X1000 to run AmigaOS 4.1, when considering the truth that a lot of AmigaOS 4.1 stuffs have been ported to the X1000 hardware already?

True, he thought it wasn't able to boot because of a message from 27th of March where it was said "We hope to have a booting A1-X1000 demonstrated at the show in June"..
Much has improved since that time, and we are now around 1 month later. The picture of the AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 running on A1-X1000 is edvidence enough of that, also according to A-EON themselves on their site...
Yes, i would say that deep inside my old PC-friend, he is jealous and bitter because he realize he is wrong, but try everything to defend the positive sides of Windows. I would say we are into a time where alternative solutions become much more attractive and important than Windows..
I'm done with Windows now. It sucks big time, really, no matter how modern and advanced it is. AmigaOS is the cure..

Most likely true, as he said he would never investigate into a computer system above 1000 - 1500 Euro. I feel sorry for him, really, but no mean to attack him. He makes his own choices and have to live with them as everybody else making their choices, good or bad..

Absolutly! Mandatory! Will it have the extra commands for my Microdrives? and the additional 128k and InterfaceI/II commands working? I expect a XMOS based Microdrive and Kempston interface!

Re: Rumours say X1000 still lacks BOOTING of AmigaOS 4.1..
Just laught to the old Sinclair, but QL made Tornus learn programming, enabling to make Linux.
QL community was so persistive to go to OS rewrite and up to 060 and HDD machines.
X1000 will run OS 4.1,, real questions is how OS will be upgraded to match the X1000 PCI-E (RadeonHD), XMOS and dual core CPU and especially XMOS as programmable CPU`s.
Also, about Helgis dreams of PPC returning as desktop alternative, EP460, EP440 and X1000 could pull it up with slight and realistic price drop once it satisfies Amiga only community, but it would e.g. need good Linux (like YDL) and maybe even MacOSX PPC and MOS (all existing PPC OS`s) or one PPC OS that can run all PPC software out there.
PPC is not bad hardware at all, most unlikely and unviable thing is lack of modern software, as we Amigans know best.
And for its time, Kempston and Microdrive were great projects, bringing taste of expensive computers to a users worlwide.
