You can't do that If you try to run NetSurf twice it just signals the first instance to open up a new window.

There may be more to it in my case. Isn't this weird:

Netsurf plain(??) is supposed to be 6975508 bytes! How do you suppose that happened? I'm going to change to the bigger one, but I had the idea that maybe the Cairo version should be bigger and better.

Thanx for your help and the info about the pdf-export function. I will try it out.

I don't know, unless you've somehow managed to install the Cairo version into the NetSurf install source.

The Cairo version is smaller, as it uses SObjs, whereas the "plain" one has all the libraries linked staticly.

thanks a lot for this great version of netsurf, chris, verry appreciated

program work fine without problems untill now.

one point. when scrolling the page vertically with mousewheel, the page isn't completely rendered. the top or bottom of the page have an area flickering during the move of the page.

a possibility to have better page speed (settings, cache size, 32 bit screenmode,...) ???

Thanks also for the link to original development site and to all the main netsurf developers (if they read this thread). Would like to ask when cahce on HD will be supported and It's written on the site

hum, almost forgotten, at the left of the adressbar, 4 gadgets. 2 gadget of the left with nothing, the center one a big cross and the 2 gadget on the right nothing, normal or gadget files image missing ???

There is a bit of flicker on scroll due to how it's rendered. 32-bit screenmodes help with rendering speed, as does the "cache native versions" option.

No idea. The new cache makes it possible, but I don't think there's any particular plan for adding it.

Sounds like the image files are missing. Which theme are you using? If AISS, check you have the latest version of AISS from www.masonicons.info. If Default, check that all the files copied over correctly (they are in Resources/Themes/Default in the NetSurf install dir and the source archive) - and that you can open them with MultiView.

kust sending a mail to you with a snoopy log and a memguard when quiting netsurf. Have forgotten a subject on the mail ,sorry (too bad).

effectively, 32 bits help to render. when using 16 bits and during the page load, pointer freeze and move and freeze and move. No problem like this one on 32 bits.

as does the "cache native versions" option.

Not found this one.

OK. the icons missing are resolved. not all the icons as been copied, during the install script (I have copied over the previous official netsurf installation).

maybe install failed because some previous icons and some new ones have their E flag missing ???

Odd. I'll check it, perhaps I need to set it to force a copy.

I have opened my modem ( http://192.168.1.1) with netsurf 2.5.

no crash (after login and password) and I have the first page modem but each modem settings menu give me a small other netsurf window.

I will surely send you a grab soon (the modem setting page work on OWB and Ibrowse (not 100%)).

It probably uses frames. Will be fixed in 3.0. For now, they should work but will not be pretty.

Using the Cairo version here in 32 bit graphics mode.

Everything seems to work quite nicely except when I try to come here to Amigans.

Netsurf pops up a requestor about the SSL certs and then freezes as far as any further input to Netsurf. It gives me a GR with a DSI error, but when I try to click through the DSI, it locks up the program. I can still soft-boot from the keyboard. But that's my only recourse at that point.

This is running 4.1 update 1 on an XE.

Does anything special need to be done regarding SSL to get Netsurf to play nicely? On another site, I get a requestor about an unknown SSL cert, but it gave the choice to accept it and go on. I don't get the opportunity at the Amigans site to do anything with SSL. It just locks.

Paul

I went back to OWB 3.25 to post this.

edit: need to learn to type

Open Resources/Options, change or add the following line:
ca_bundle:PROGDIR:Resources/ca-bundle

You can also try:
ca_bundle:devs:curl-ca-bundle.crt

If neither of those work, grab my debug version, run it as "netsurf -v" and send me the log, any crashlog and any other relevant information (such as the exact error message)

The first one was already in there in correct form. The second one did the trick.

Replying with Netsurf now.

Is it only me? Netsurf 2.5 doesn't show JPEGs anymore, it complains about a wrong version of the libjpeg.sobj - indeed there came a new version of this with Update 2.

Any idea's?

Copy libjpeg.so from the NetSurf archive into NetSurf's program directory.

This has been fixed for 2.6. Unfortunately SObjs and decent compatibility between versions don't necessarily go together.
