@nubechecorre
You may put your crashlog in crash.depot, IMHO it's always better (for both, users and devs) use a standard tracker for bugs/notifications instead of putting them "everywhere" ...

i tried the game in software render and it is faster than opengl, is it normal? On Sam440? I have no idea. On my AmigaOne with Radeon 7500, MiniGL easily outperforms the software renderer.

@nubechecorre I haven't had a chance to look into your crashlog yet, but i am very surprised by just how unstable the game is for you. It was tested by a number of testers prior to release, and all serious crashbugs they found were fixed. Could you try something for me? Please disable all programs in your wbstartup, reboot, quit amidock, THEN run Quake II and see if it is any more stable. I want to rule out commodities or dockies causing problems.

@xeron
ok, i tried booting my amiga without wbstartup (i use the shortcut Shift + ALT keys) and the problem is still there..
Just a curiosity, have you tried the game with "our" kernel ?(not the betatester), it is the 53.12..
Thanks,
P.S.: if you wish, i can send you also the savegames

Hi @xeronOn Sam440? I have no idea. On my AmigaOne with Radeon 7500, MiniGL easily outperforms the software renderer. I don't now SAM either... I finally downloaded it yesterday; did a fresh install; payed 'Dickens' to get a decent configuration. I noticed that the sound distorted at certain screen-modes and mouse misbehaved. I fiddled a good while until I got a nice stable setup My WB on the A1-XE/G4(Sapphire R9250) is 1152x864x16bits, but a 800x600 Q2 setting for 'software render' seemed to work best for sound, video, and mouse! Played for a couple hours with no problems. Nice driver! Installed fast too. MiniGL was crap or is it me? The colors were too dark to even play the game. Is a config. for that?

I did a time demo of Capehill's Quake 2 port, and to my surprise the s/w & MiniGL rendering gave the same fps! Not sure if I ran the timing correctly though. @Snuffy Capehill's Quake 2 port looks fine for using MiniGL rendering. You can't expect it to look exactly like the software render though!!

@Snuffy Quake 2's GL output seems a lot darker than the software renderer, but then it does on my PC as well. There is a brightness slider in the settings, and I have it cranked right up. Otherwise GL looks a lot better to me than software (and runs faster).

Hardware render is more darker than software one and I prefer myself the software renderer because of this problem.
something or warp3D or MiniGL maybe ???

@delshay There is support, but you have to compile the expansion pack for the target platform. There was a CD with loads of expansions compiled for the Amiga, but they would now need to be recompiled.
