Hmm it shows my bad spelling/editing history now. =p Damn I've been found out. Haha.

Question: Does the Amiga platform have a simple RSS Feed Creator such as 'Feed For All' (http://www.feedforall.com/)?

If no, that would be a nice software app to have and I wouldn't imagine it would take forever to make one as a RSS Post itself is very simple - ie. an image in the top left and a paragraph of text with an url linking to something.

Update: As per ChrisH's request I've made the Black bar headings a little more interesting by adding the Badge thumbnail to the left of each text. Next I'll add some social bookmarking tools in footer.

Have you proposed A-eon regarding your site design?

Documentation on OS4 Depot says its a RSS News Reader it doesn't say someone can actually create a news feed with it. Can you confirm whether it can or not? Many thanks.

I hope to make that proposal soon yes.

Update:

Investigated how AmigaKit and the shopping cart deals with currrencies and the 'Where to Buy' menu option across the top has been updated as far I can.

In order for the currency cookie to work correctly page (http://www.uploads.beaverpromotions.co.uk/x1000/selectcountry.html) would have to be hosted on AmigaKit's server as apparently its impossible to set another's website's cookies; and with good reason. :D

The whole idea is to 'jump' the visitor straight from a-eon's site and land on the product page hosted by AmigaKit showing the X1000 with AmigaKit's own options for adding it to the shopping basket etc etc.

Thanks monsieur.

Just taken a look at that french forum and there is an AmiTheme website at http://amitheme.amiga-ng.org/.

Great themes would love to use them, but sadily although I do like sexy women wearing lingerie I can't use these. Trying to create a corporate image for the site, if they could all be re-created without the lady in the corner then we are in business.

Perhaps you know the author? For now it looks like a job for photoshop. :D

Yeah, I know the author (Sinisrus) and the sexy lady is only a drawer icon, not included with the themes provided by AmiThemes.

I must translate the site in English but I haven't found the time yet

Hehe, never enough time is there. I've crudely edited the young lady out of the photo. I've also acknowledged everyone as much as possible by including a link back to their site wherever possible throughout the site.

First of all, Nicky, bwai

Congratulations on "the mock up" web site
that is more informative and more informative
then the original one.

So, its no reason to be a mock up, but a model to build
a community resource web site
(Hello, Intuition Base, should you know of SAM boards and X1000?)

Re: Mock up of A-Eon website
@djrikki

Good one, but:

- X1000 pictures do not work (I suppose you relied on external links)

- Should not be only X1000, but presenting all Amiga PPC hardware, so it is not a competative to A-EON, but more like Intuition Base

- Good section division, good news, screens and infos. Keep up the good work, but not only about latest ones.

Why not having your own Info site for people to know instead of having A-EON mock up site?

No the photos I have hosted on my own site (well work's ftp server) and your the first to mention them not working.

I think you missed the point of the 'site', its not meant to be as a competitor site.

Its my impression of how a future A-Eon site could look like or more specifically the content I personally would hope to see on such a site. A website such as A-Eon's should not just focusing purely on the hardware, but also highlight what the OS is about to the complete stranger; after all you can't have an X1000 without the OS - the two are intrinsically linked.

Thats not to say that Hyperion-Entertainment should not do the same, in fact they should, even more so. I am sure in the future this will happen, the partnership between the companies involved in my eyes seems grounded on solid foundations.

Your typically user in 2010 wants to know the answers to common tasks such as 'Can I send emails just as easily as Apple Mail?', 'Can I browse the web?' and 'Can I write the occasional letter or manage my home finances with this machine of yours'?

The idea is ultimately to put your product across in the best light possible and ungeekify the very think you are trying to sell. Also stating over and over what IT CAN DO; and ignore what IT CAN'T DO as no-one wants to hear that.

Hi Walkero, not seen AmigaFeel before. Probably more appropriate on the Customise page. Seems a nice site, nice layout; certainly worth some consideration. My only concern is that it has some images of non-amiga operating systems.

No pics here
http://www.uploads.beaverpromotions.co.uk/x1000/x1000.html
and here
http://www.uploads.beaverpromotions.co.uk/x1000/index.html
http://www.uploads.beaverpromotions.co.uk/x1000/store.html

Basically, all X1000 related pics, while AmigaOS related work

Tried it in FF and Firefox ignores it - presents no pics
while Chrome leaves kind of "broken pics"

Also, this info "is not quite right"

TECHNICAL:

Intelligent Memory Paging Handling
3D Hardware Accelerated
Full Python Implementation
On-Board Customisable Co-Processor

In The OS pages, re-think

Comprehensive USB 2.0 Support
Complete Samba Implemention

But YES ... AmigaOS is VIRUS, SPYWARE, etc. free

Different CPU arhitecture + no newer viruses and 68k viruses work only under emulation

Also

Will my PC devices (cameras, printers, hard drives) work with an AmigaOne?

An AmigaOne has lots of drivers for a wide variety of peripherals pre-installed. Just plug in your device and away you go.

There is a small base of devs that DO work
I dont know has this improved with OS 4.1.2

Cameras and Flash drives ues, but scanners and printers I am not so sure
