rwo, any news at all will be good news here.....I personally don't care about printing any graphics as text only is fine by me....I'm getting tired of booting up Debian on my Samflex just to print out a few lines of text

Yesterday I got my internet back.. lightning had hit the phones lines where it took out my adsl model and phone lines.

So I have been without internet for 14 days now :/

I have put the dot4 driver on hold most of the time since last update.

I have had coded a little on it bu not much, when I look in my calender I can see there is some free time sunday.. I hope to do an update there.

ah ok so printing will be revamped with next update as per AmiWest news hopefully...maybe this is why no news on this driver lately

I am hoping for another OS4 update "soon", and if that happens then it certainly will NOT include any new printer support. (They wouldn't have had time to work on it. I'd estimate they would need a minimum of 6 months to work on it - and quite probably a lot longer.)

well I think rwo is getting real close anyway..I'm just hoping I can print something err 'anything' on one of my DOT4 USB printers .....getting tired booting up Debian just to print out a few lines

It's highly plausible that it has been decided to take the Dot4 driver as part of OS4. It should be really - without it a lot of USB printers won't work.
