Have any ideas about making its "simply and right" ?
I'd simply check the end of the filename provided by the user. If it contains a substring equal to the extension to be added by the program, you just skip the add extension function and leave the filename as it is.
Can you also please use test version for now heavy as possible ? I.e. try to use everything, just to make again lockup happenes (i want to be sure, that there is only one problem).
I tried messing with the tools on the right side of the screen (test version). When I got to 'Edit mask Brush' I got a Grim Reaper.
BTW: I also tried the new version on OS4Depot. It locks up in the same place. The progress bar changes colors then stops on brown/maroon. Quote:
Anyway, i try to fix these hits soon or later, but maybe for now, i should put 2 binary inside archive like : lodepaint.exe and lodepaint_nolockup.exe while it not fixed ?
That would make the archive awfully big wouldn't it? I'm not in a big hurry. I can wait until you figure it out.

Yep, as i say in previous post, i tryed to found where is bug with Hanz (minigl author), and he tryed to test LodePaint on his machine (with latest beta version of OS), and he say that he not have memguard hits => what mean that we should wait for new OS update, which hopefully will fix these problems.

@kas1e Hi there! Just managed to try the latest version and all I can say is...I like it!
Now that we know layers are coming and that hopes are up for better 3D drivers (with hans work and all) all that's missing is a nicer look.
Let's be frank here, those brownish/orange top bars are unlookable.
I'm using the DarkGray Amiboing LightUp theme right now, but simple blue bars with amiga-like close buttons (the "square" you know) would be enough.
Best thing would be to have these bars in several colors at least to match the color of the installed skin (such as blu, silver green, dark grey and so on), all with amiga-like close buttons of course.
Can it be done?

Yep of course, you already can change all of this by programm settings (if i remember right, not only bars, but also buttons as well). That brownish/orange color, it's that what i like more for myself, and all of this you can change in the settings (any color, any gradient and alt).
All that colors settings will be save in the settings.txt file automatically, so, you can see later what values are the best ones, and we can just put it by default, or as one more combo.

I hope he replaces the buttons with some others, maybe from the aiss or some home made stuff.
As i say before, lodepaint already have Skin-system (and for now it have 3, which can be swithed from menu). So, if anyone are in interest to spend some time, he can already make nice AISS skin.
But, Mason say that he will do that right after he will finish his work on push4dock (i.e. stay tuned for AISS skin).
But imho current ones are pretty nice too. Maybe you use old lodepaint with old icons which looks like from win 3.1 ?:)
