Posting this using OWB on AmigaOS 4.1 Update 2!!!!

Ah, it's nice to be back...

Had to install the Ethernet driver myself (quite proud I managed to do it correctly first time) but apart from that it's looking good.

Does OS4.1 support monitors with 1680x1050 resolution? I'm currently running at 1280x720 which was the highest I could see in ScreenMode...

Welcome to both of you

for the screenmodes, AOS4 is configured with some standard screenmode. Depending of your monitor, you could add more resolutions.

for adding resolutions, open sys: devs/monitor. open the radeon tooltype and add more resolutions.

add the resolution at the end of the list (important).

for 16/9 or 16/10 monitor, add +RB at the end of the resolution mode.

cut'n'paste a resolutions line and transform to desired resolutions.

sorry, can't said with AOS4 words because I'm at job

This is the old-fashioned & user-unfriendly way. As long as you have Update 2, it's better to run Sys:Prefs/ScreenMode, and use the Monitors tab.

Thanks for the replies - I fixed it almost immediately after posting by selecting the 'auto detect monitor' option and rebooting. It dropped me straight into 1680x1050!

Just installed the 4.1 SDK and tried out writing hello, world, now onto the examples...
