I completed FS2 on "easy" level with an AmigaOne (although I started the campaign on the Pegasos), and only the last few missions got rather slow. Perhaps a higher difficulty is more difficult for the hardware, as well. I still have not managed to play any of the mods.
What's the current situation with the older WarpOS games Wipeout etc? Has that improved since earlier part of this thread, or is powerpc.library still a problem? Should we do a bounty for a new powerpc.library for OS4.1?
In a discussion about things for amigabounty.net, the warpos library came up. Initial googling about warpos on OS4 shows that there is a wrapper on aminet already.
No need to create a bounty for this since WarpOsEmu from Joerg Strohmayer is very good if you want to use old WarpOS/WarpUP (two names for one thing) programs.
It allow to play most of WarpOS games and can launch the vast majority of WarpUp applications.
OK, another question. Did I misunderstand things, and I should have taken this thread that a PowerUP emulation/wrapper is needed? Or did the posts that led me to think we needed WarpOS wrapper also not know about Joerg's WarpOSEmu?
Anyone need or care about a PowerUPemu as well? Has anyone tried Frank Wille's ppclibemu with Joerg's WarpOSemu in OS4?
I don't think wee need a kind of PowerUp Emulation since very few programs were made for it (and it was damn slow compared to WarpUP).
Regarding WarpUp, if it really had to be enhanced, Joerg could be the only person to do it since he developped the WarpOSEmu but you chould come with very accurate details about what is not working.
