Flat scanner on os4?

Possible to use a flat scanner on my amiga? I have a canon canoscan lide 200. Are there any pograms available that can use a scanner? Or will i forever be stuck with the pc for scanning?

There were some problems with my Canon which Edgar fixed - but the fixed version doesn't seem to have been released.

new printers all-in-one now have often the option to scan directly to your e-mail address.
I just ordered a new HP printer who prints directly from e-mail. I hope to be able to print my pdf's directly from my Amiga through this service!

All In One printers are even more complex devices, depending on drivers, and I hardly believe that without proper driver they will work under OS4.

Above frontend (and scanners that it supports) seems to be only solution at this moment.

If that doesn't work, you can always look for old flat-bed

...but the latest HP printers have an e-mail address. You send there your graphic image or your PDF and lo! they get printed. Same with the scanner : scanning goes like photocopying, then it sends the file to you as an mail attachment. Simply, you don't need drivers (if you print from pdf, text, jpeg, tiff, html, etc...). The only hassle: you have to send an e-mail attachement to your printer
