USB to sreial Adapter with AmigaOS4.x

Dear Amiga friends !

I have a SAM440 Board running with Amiga 4.1 Update 2.
I want to develop a small application with a Reaction GUI that is able to receive a simple byte stream from a serial Multimeter device.
Now my question is: Does somenone of you know if there is a USB to serial adapter that can be operated with Amiga OS4.1 ?

Was working on it, unless he has restarted then he isn't working on one.

The PL2303 is the chipset to go for. There is source out in the wild but not for our USB stack (see eg. Poseidon PL2303 driver+source at http://thylacine.boing.net/updates.html)

I've tried adapting it, and fixing/finishing rwo's driver but I didn't get anywhere as I know next to nothing about writing USB hardware drivers.

I have a little USB-Serial device here I wanted to have a play around with, but the USB side of things stopped that.

I would also like to have a USB-to-serial adapter working with the SAM.

The SAM built-in serial port doesn't support hardware handshaking.

Ah, thanks for that - I didn't knew. I'm wondering whether my graphics tablet will work with my SAM, at the moment it is connected to the serial port of my PegasosII (or sometimes to my 040/A2000)...
