ImageFX 4.5

Hi
I`m thinking of buying ImageFX 4.5 for my AmigaOS 4.1 Update 2 running on AMCC PPC440EP Radeon 9250 and what I like to know would it install and work without crashing some feedback would be very very helpful.

there's an updated installer on OS4depot. Afterwards, at least on my peg2/os4.1u2, it works just fine.

I wrote the new OS4.x installer for ImageFX 4.5, which you will find on OS4depot. I'd just like to add a few comments. Before my A1XE got fried, I was testing the compatability of all of the nice hooks, fxforge, and other effects with IFX. The list I compiled is on a fried hard drive, never to see the light of day again. You will have to check which hooks work under JIT, and which hooks will have to be run under the slower 68k emulation of OS4. Some of the features of IFX will not work under JIT.

I've been running ImageFx with Petunia on my SAM and XE, on
all versions of OS4 up through OS4.1 update 2.

It's generally been quite stable.

There are a few areas where you learn to stay away from,
like the text tool. And if I run the debug kernel, I
get a couple recoverable DSI's at startup.

But all in all, I've done a lot of image processing
with it, built a large website and so it's been very
productive for me.

And, fortunately, OS4 also reboots quickly.

Always liked this software, they even reprinted the manual recently.
I only wish for somebody to make a newer OS4 fully native version eventually...(pretty please!).
