Another 3 games that would be cool to look for

SoulFu
http://cross-platform-games.com/screenshots/5

Sauerbraten: Reflections!
http://cross-platform-games.com/screenshots/13

Glest: Wizards
http://cross-platform-games.com/screenshots/10

All of them seems very portable, the first (SoulFu) is already availible on MorphOS

Nope, but better to post it here anyway, maybe AfxGroup or MickJT will try it as well.

@samo79
Sauerbraten its cube2 , compiles fine , show me menu, all works fine, but crashes heavy on the game code (Dunno why for now, so i leave it for the better time, after new update with new w3d drivers will released).

Looks fine imho. Not modern one, but pretty fine :) Already build it, but have problems with endianes looks like. Game crashes heavy when start to unpacking data file, maybe someone skilled enough can help me there ? :

CrashType: alignment

addr2line -e soulfu --section=.text 0xe598:

and code is:

Quote:

// Write the header for the new, simplified base model...

*((unsigned short*) newdata) = global_base_num_vertex; newdata+=2;

y = *((float*) tempdata); tempdata+=4;

*((float*) newdata) = z; newdata+=4;
// Ignore normal, weight, and neighbor count

// Use the original vertex to get bone bindings and weight...
original_vertex = *((unsigned short*) tempdata);
tempdata+=2;
olddata = global_base_old_vertex_start + (original_vertex*9) + 6;
*newdata = *olddata; newdata++; olddata++; // Bone binding 0
*newdata = *olddata; newdata++; olddata++; // Bone binding 1
//log_message("INFO: DDD Weight %d == %d", original_vertex, (*olddata));
*newdata = *olddata; newdata++; // Bone Weighting

// Bone and normal scalars calculated later...
repeat(j, 12)
{
*((float*) newdata) = 0.0f; newdata+=4;
}

// Pad vertex data, so each is 64 bytes long... Also used for hide flag in modeler...
*newdata = 0; newdata++;
}

Looks like endianes issues ? anyone ?

VirtualGP 2 was a fine F1 simulation game and run fast under MorphOS (when I had). Let's hope that if an AmigaOS 4 version comes out to be as fast as it was under MorphOS.

Have some progress with Commander Stalin , still buggy, but something:

Resized Image Resized Image

ITs based on "BosWars" engine, which AfxGroup already ported, so maybe with some help from him i can fix all the stuff (afxgroup, check mail plz).

ps. music in game awesome , old-old-russian-songs about monarchy, kings, communism, Stalin, Lenin and all the stuff :) Bring to childhood :)

Nice one Roman.

What about speed? Or it's too early to discuss about that?

For now actual-game not start at all (only menu, some problems with scripts), but 99% that speed will be the same as BosWars (avail on os4depot). so you can check if BosWars fine for you, then that one will be the same imho.

I believe that too. As it uses the same game engine then I don't think there's a reason for the game to be slower (or even faster) than BosWars.
