I've actually never tried any USB masstorage device that didn't work in my A1-XE. But writing doesn't work though due to the long standing bugs in CrashDOS and the USB itself of course. But they are all detected and works fine otherwise:
Kingston Datatraveler 16GB Sandisk Cruzer micro 8GB Denver 1GB MP3 player Casio Exilim 7Mpix camera Samsung S8000 Jet phone (both built-in and memory card) Sandisk ImageMate All-in-one card reader Trust micro non-powered USB hub.
Ok, just tried one device that didn't work: Navigon Live GPS unit with a masstorage interface. It said read error on some block and dismounted itself.
Software developer for Amiga OS3 and OS4. Develops for OnyxSoft and the Amiga using E and C and occasionally C++
Today I came across another USB stick that might fall into the untrustworthy category. It is a generic USB stick issued under the brand name of a large grocery store chain called Safeway. I do not know who manufactures this USB stick. OS4.1 Update 2 detected it as a 2 GB USB stick. I tried to use it to back up files, the transfer froze part way through. Now it is permanently in an "uninitialized" state.
Now that it is toast, Media Toolbox claims that this USB stick is a "ChipsBnk Flash Disk" of total disk size of 8 MB. Confirmed as 8 MB by 3 Windows PCs.
I cannot format this USB stick on any of our Windows PCs or the MicroA1. I am assuming it is now permanently toasted.
Unfortunately, I did not try this USB stick on the Windows PCs before I tried to back up my files on the MicroA1, so I do not know if it worked in a Windows environment before it encountered OS4.
"Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320". Tried only the mouse as thei left the keyboard in Croatia. As they both share the same usb receiver im 101% the keyboard also works. So you can put this on the list as working.
Tried also "MS Industrial cordless mouse Rock" and it works fine.
- Kingston DataTraveler 4GB G3. - Jessops Card Reader USB 2.0 (only with Simm until 2GB with more capacity this reader doesn't work). - LITE-ON External DVD/CD Rewritable drive model SHW-1635SU or EZ-DUB. - Integral 4GB (USB drive with this mark/company). - Optical mouse wireless Trust.
I've only tested a external TrekStor multimedia 500 GB HDD and a new external Hitachi 500 GB HDD. Both works perfect with update 3. But I don't have a external Seagate HDD
