Sorry for bringing another "port this!" thread. I tried porting climm (the text-based ICQ client) myself but I failed. A classic Amiga version exists already but it crashes under OS4. If someone ported this I'd be able to build a ReAction GUI on top of it, just like I did with the WordNet dictionary.

This one is hard to compile. io_dns.c is giving me headaches. Looks like I can add a res_query.c, dn_expand and nameser_compat.h from some other programs that might get past that, but then os_unix.c looks for functions that we don't have. I can comment out that section of the code, but it will likely make it unstable.

Anyway, i'll take a break and look sometime later on, when I have free time.

I'd have thought porting/updating STRICQ would be a better option.

But then I don't know how much the ICQ protocol has changed.

(hmm, apparently there is a v2 as well)

I didn't checked yet if source are included but maybe you can take a look at the MorphOS source instead ?

It may be more portable than the original ... maybe
