[SOLVED] missing shared object when starting Qt Examples ?
Not too shy to talk

See User information
Installed Qt from OS4depot, but getting an error message:

Failed to load shared object
libssl.so.1.0.0

as timberwolf also uses shared objects, it (still) works.

I meant to reply to this in the other thread, but completely forgot.

The easiest fix is to download libssl from os4depot and install the two SObjs. They are present in the Qt archive but have the wrong names (IIRC).

Try OS4Depot:
http://www.os4depot.net/share/develop ... brary/misc/libopenssl.lha

You only need from that archive:
libOpenSSL/SDK/Local/newlib/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0
libOpenSSL/SDK/Local/newlib/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0

To copy in main dir. of the program you are trying to run or in SOBJS:

If i'm right.

O.k. that did the trick ! Thanx.
However, could be a bit snappier, overall it behaves far better than Amicygnix. Tried EasyImageSizer as well. Even my iBatch 68k resizes much faster ! However, I guess speedoptimizing EIS was not the goal, wasn't it !

I wrote a reply to this and then lost it because apparently NetSurf doesn't like the iBatch website (frames are being worked on at the moment, I'll try to remember to use that as a test site)

Anyway, Alfkil says that the speed issues will be resolved when we have a full OpenGL implementation (Gallium?). EIS' resize plugin is incredibly simple - it just uses Qt's resize function, so I think it will speed up when the UI speeds up.

And you're right, it was a Qt build environment test, not a speed optimisation exercise!
