I installed update 3, and set up the internet options, and connected to the internet no problem. However this morning after effectivly a hard boot, I cannot connect from update3.
I have booted from my update2 partition, and can connect just fine. Can anyone tell me what files to copy across to my update3 partition to allow me to connect to tinternet.
I had this problem, but no one else did, probably some random thing. Suggest you go into Internet prefs and set it up manually. You may have to delete everything off it first save settings and then set it up.

No cause is lost if there is but one fool left to fight for it.

What files do I delete, and what settings do I use to set it up?
I could not manage to configure my internet connection using wizard ( dhcp problem ). The thing is, when i tryed to change existing internet connection evry time i had some errors, so basically i did change DEVS:NetInterfaces/VIA-RHINE config file from dhcp to static ip :
Quote:
# DEVS:NetInterfaces/VIA-RHINE # File generated by Dialer 53.2 (3.10.2009) # On Thursday, 01-Sep-11 at 18:07:10 device=via-rhine.device unit=0 configure=dhcp address=192.168.1.18 netmask=255.255.255.0
I noticed also a few times, that config file :
Quote:
# DEVS:Internet/routes # File generated by Internet 53.2 (27.9.2009) # On poniedzia³ek, 16-maj-11 at 01:13:09 default=192.168.1.1
had double record "default=xxxzzzyyy" ( same address) and finally - no internet connection. After when i've deleted doubled record and rebooted my PegII there was no problems with internet connection.
I tried the internet wizard once a long time ago and ended up with a mess. I had to setup manually. Ever since that time I have configured manually. Never used the wizard again. I use DHCP on all the computers at home, including my MicroA1.
Anyone else tried the wizard? I think the beta testing team would be very grateful if people would feedack if it works or not.
I have just manually run internet prefs, not changing anything, just accepting the defaults, and I can connect to the Internet. I have done a hard reset, and connection seems to be OK, at the moment.
