The problem is the prefs program is a small part of it. :) I haven't tried using the Amiga keyboard/mouse yet at all - I think AmigaOS kind of supports the keyboard or something, but I don't know of mouse support. That kind of thing really needs to be done by the Hyperion people....
I understand that the prefs are only the frontend and thus the smallest part of all.
I have a A4K keyboard here and it starts working the moment i mount whatever CW disk file, so the keyboard support could(?) be fairly easy
My Amiga mouse doesn't work here, at least *i* haven't got it to work yet.
Thank the man who sent me a Peg II to port the drivers to MorphOS. :) If it weren't for him I could never have gotten it to work.
Inidentally, you know what was wrong? The Peg II hardware for some reason set the PCI capabilities to nothing at all! No memory access, no busmastering, no IO, nothing... so nothing happened.
Just the AmigaOS version, at the moment, this has changes for the disk detection code. I've juggled it around a lot so I have no idea if I've broken anything, so my old version is still there, but it seems ok.
If you have Update 3 and mount TD0: in your DEVS:DOSdrivers/ this version will fix your black screen on boot-up!
I think I accidentally didn't re-merge the PegII fix so if you're using a PegII you either need to use the old catweasel.device before using the new (just once), or stick to the old for now. Will fix it later tonight!
Also just made some changes to the 3" drive code as my EME-156 wasn't playing nicely. Strange things, them Amstrad drives...
Hi! Surely a noob question! I installed my catweasel mk4+ on my sam440 with latest drivers from retroreview.com It didn't work because it said: reading error on block 0. So i followed this thread to the point of copying dosdrivers in two suggested paths but now when i try to boot my os4.1 rev 5, it tries to do it from floppy but it doesn't go on... How can i do?
edit: i disconnected catweasel but os doesn't boot. formatting...

no way. installed cw driver again, changed two floppy (one nilox and one alps electric) but nothing. on new drivers it says error on block 0, on old drivers "error 30"...
First thing - support questions are best emailing me directly - I only just noticed this thread had been updated.
The current drivers will give a read error on block 0 if the drive isn't connected. Are you absolutely sure the Catweasel is connected correctly?
First, check your prefs are set correctly by running the Catweasel preferences file. Make sure your drive is set to the correct type and in the correct place (i.e. Unit 0 regular PC 3.5" drive is the normal configuration, of a standard floppy after the twist in the cable).
Once that is done, check the Catweasel is talking to the drive. Easiest way to do this is run SuperDiskImage, and set the start and end track to about 30 or so. Then put in a disk, put a random filename in the Filename box (such as "ram:test.img") and tell it to read. You should see the drive start up, the light go on, and you should hear it seek to track 30 or whatever. If you don't - your CW either isn't recognised, or it's not finding the drive. Check all your connections (especially the PCI connector). I can't remember if the current public version has debug info. Find out by running Sashimi and see if it gives debugging information.
Best thing is to email me (see my sig) then we should get it sorted out.
