I tryed it some time ago, check this out: here

1. <sys/mman.h> (all those mmap, READ_PROT, MAP_PRIVATE, etc). Uses in 2 files, pretty easy to replace on malloc() & co.

2. Pty.cpp use <termios.h>. What mean all those: IXOFF, IXON, IXOFF, VERASE, tcgetpgrp() and + some stuff from termios (like struct ::termios blabla). Kpty.cpp also uses all that stuff , + some other (which i think KDE related). After that i not going futher, because its understanable that easy port will not be done, and need some reall-hardcore rewriting.

Yes I forgot about QtScript. As far as I recall I tried compiling it at some point an ran into to some problem. I will try again as soon as I can get around to it. At the moment I am using CMake to try and port vacuum. I might need QtWebKit for that purpose, in which case I will be dealing with 36 hours compiling times etc... (My little adventure with cross compilers stopped when I ran into some problems with threads)

Stay tuned!

QtWebKit would be useful... I ran into a couple of things that needed that.

The Installer in the SDK archive doesn't seem to be working (doesn't launch, and if I run from Shell, doesn't copy)

That is very strange, as it works fine here. Are you running it from the Workbench icon or from Filer (or dopus)? As far as I recall it needs to be run from workbench to run.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe something with file attributes maybe changed when archived with lha. Try fooling around with different settings in file info and see if anything changes.

Doesn't launch - why doesn't Installer start? Works here.

Must be just me then... I'll try unarchiving it to a different drive and see if that helps.

(@ChrisH - PM noted, cant reply as Firefox on my netbook is completely broken, just about to see if v8 works better)

I found the problem, nothing wrong with the Installer.

This version seems to want to initialise the fontconfig database every time, other than that there's a clear improvement in usability, especially with my brief tests in QSimpleSheet.

Just for info: After fixing of the gtlayout.library (see Aminet) Olaf 'olsen' Barthel's Term works like a charm now...
(Of course this only a serial terminal - but the best I know..)
