Quite a regular

I need some help installing Debian on Sam440Flex. I'm using the "Linux Debian Lenny net-install" ISO.

The installation gets stuck on the "Select and install software" part.
It stops at 1%

if I change to the "log console" (Alt-F4) it seems it is waiting for a "yes or No", but I don't know where to type that in.

Here the last lines

the install console (Alt-F1) only shows a blue screen with the install bar frozen at 1%, I tried to type yes there, but obviously without success.

on a different console I tried to look at the active processes, maybe I could try to kill a process and go back to the main "install" menu.. but I don't know which one to kill..

Install with no network cable connected. It will install a minimal system. Then you would be able to install all other packages.

I tried the older install CD but I got the same problem. So I just installed the base system and manually the rest.

While I'm at it, there is another question: when I start the system, it takes 90 seconds from the moment I have seleted to boot Debian to the point where the Kernel starts to unzip. Is there a way to speed this up?

Is it possible to uncompress the uImage to speed up the start?

So far Debian works good. It feels a lot snappier than Ubuntu on a 2ghz Pentium IV. I love my SamFlex! thank acube!!
