How many of you have bought a sam460ex or Amigaone 500

Im just curious how many sams are sold and hamy are there in use.
just to see how the amiga scene is doing in the year 2012.

iv bought a AmigaOne 500 last year and its great to have a os4 machine like the Amigaone500 aka sam460ex.
good speed hopefully the 3d drivers are comming soon.

I am currently waiting to see what is eventuates with the next batch of X1000's. If it turns out I don't have the money to afford one or some other road block prevents me from purchasing one then I will be looking at getting the Amigaone500.

For the moment I will just make do with my Sam440ep.

ACube have never released any sales figures to my knowledge. And most probably they never will do (at least unless they pull-out of the Amiga market).

AFAIR, Eyetech (specifically Alan Redhouse) never did so either, until they stopped making AmigaOnes.

I have none now, but i did buy 2. but have sold them again.

Ive always been puzzled at Amiga companies not releasing sales figures?? No one expects them to post numbers in the tens of thousands, so what are they afraid of?

TBH, If I saw something I wanted but was dragging my feet in buying getting low sales figures that would prompt me to buy sooner rather than later.

I have a SAM460 fitted with a Radeon HD 4650 GFX card and am a happy little bunny! Waiting for improved sounnd driver and 3D GFX for my card.

A very good quality product and runs Amiga OS 4.1.4 very fast

I'm buying myself a sam440flex system 2nd hand first,
then I'll be adding to it with a sam460ex later on

Unless the X1000 price comes down a LOT I know I won't ever
actually afford one of those unless I get gifted one.

I'm not so worried about whether the board itself comes
with or without the OS (I'll buy the OS anyway if needed)

Heres to keeping at it with the voluntary test subjects and
seeing how twitchy things get :)

I m going to buy an AmigaOne 500 end of april. What programs/games are slow on AO500?

Bought my SAM 460 last year. Same system as Sicky's, but with one less D in the optical drive

The only thing is that there is no 3d support for now Hans is busy with the radeonhd driver.
further in my opinion is xmame to slow but that because its a old one could be as fast as on morphos with the latest sdl etc.
im hoping for a new mame and snes emu.
for the rest it runs fast.
