Amiga North Thames (ANT) meeting this Sunday (TODAY)!

Just a reminder that the monthly Amiga North Thames meeting is this coming Sunday...

P.S. Although ANT is north London, I think it's pretty easy to get to on the A1 for anyone at Peterborough (or further south).

Great bunch of chaps at ANT, Ive been twice and thoroughly enjoyed it :) And of course I met ChrisH who sold me on buying an NG Amiga!

With luck I will be bringing my X1000 to the meeting...

Ooh, and I'll be in London this weekend as well! Might have to toddle on up to that - if I can persuade the missus that it'll be fun ;)

I won't be there, car won't start (well, it didn't start yesterday, and I'm assuming today is the same as I haven't fixed it in the meantime)

If your car won't start in this cold weather, the your car's battery is likely the problem.

Cold reduces the power of the battery, and if it was already nearly dead then that can push it over the edge. Warming the battery up (bring inside the house!) might be a temporary fix, but then you'd need to buy a replacement from Halfords/etc.

Try jump-starting your car (using another car) - that would also prove your battery was to blame.

My suspicion was the battery too, it's been struggling all winter. It started fine today when I tried it, but I didn't want to chance getting stuck in Enfield.
