i've just installed it ! Seems to work

The sound still missing sometimes when you doa reboot. I hope they working hard to get 100% working driver with dma.

Did you write to Ross already because of that ? If no, then do it, while he on it, maybe he will fix it fast if he can reproduce it.

I will write to him again. I think i mentioned it 3-4 weeks ago. Its not so hard to reproduce it. Just reboot 1-3 times and then suddenly no sound. Another thing is that i only got a black screen when i started a whdload game smts. When i have sound runinuae works fine but no sound only black screen.

ok downloaded and tested on amigaOne500

first thing iss it works no more crackling sound.

but.......

at cold boot system freezes at bootlogo amigaos 4 (init sound i think)

i have to do a warm reboot still to get sound.


futher info it working better then the first beta.

so keep it up with the great work.


no lets hope Hans is getting the 3d to work and released.

Sound is better now, no crackling sounds but still need a warm re-boot before I get sound!

When I first purchased the SAM 460 over a year ago now (I was an early adopter buying it as soon as AmigaKit had it in stock from day one) I experienced this problem right away with having to soft reboot to get sound. All I heard on the forums was 'doh have you tried this', 'yes thanks-still the same problem.' and 'oh sorry to hear that i wish i could help'.
It seemed like no-one on the forums at least was talking about this problem and that I was the only one....so I am relieved to find out others having been buying the SAM 460 in the last year and are sharing this same reboot problem... as I was beginning to think it was just me!

Where is the new driver? the file.

I get a lot of interference noise via my mouse movements and distorted left speaker. I have checked all connections. Any ideas?

Ok, Genius, but I found this driver and this date:
sm502_audio.lha 6.1 16kb 15 Aug 11 OS4 SAM460 (SM502) audio driver.
I don't want ear extra points, I don't want donwload old drivers to doesn't work.

It would be great if this driver could be made to work with the Mixer.
(I miss not being able to control the volume from my keyboard.)
