@Jurassicc Thanks for taking the time to post/report this. I can send you our current internal build if you want to test it (let me know your email if so)

In fact, i might be in need of some 460 and x1k users to test our latest build(s), in case someone else is interested.

Hello,
As announced
on the bounty page , the final 53.x version has been uploaded to os4depot.
$VER: avcodec.library 53.611 Build #9126 (31.05.2012) This version is based on FFmpeg 0.10.3 "Freedom" which was released on 2012-05-06. It is the latest stable FFmpeg release from the 0.10 release branch, which was cut from master on 2012-01-26. Amongst lots of other changes, it includes all changes from ffmpeg-mt, libav master of 2012-01-26, libav 0.8.2 as of 2012-05-06.
Further details on the Readme file included in the archive. http://os4depot.net/?function=showfile&file=video/misc/avcodec.lha All reported issues should be fixed, except one: there are problems with videos using dual-audio streams. However, anybody who encounters this problem can get rid of it by switching the audio stream being used from the DvP's context-menu.
If you found other problems, don't hesitate to report them. Thank you.

I've been testing this version for months for Diego (on AmigaOne XE G4 and Sam440ep) and I can confirm that it is really stable and fast. Owners of Pegasos II G4, AmigaOne G4 and AmigaOne X1000 will be pleased to know that the Altivec version will give you a nice boost over the former avcodec.library. Even on Sam440 (and 460), and thanks also to the improved copy DMA routines from Udpate 5, you'll see some improvements in speed. On Sam440ep 667, I'm using Hyperclock and the best configuration is 733Mhz/FSB 122 Mhz/ PCI 122 Mhz (when clocked at 733/147/73, the PCI speed can't cope with videos datas to get fluent reading). Nice work Diego !

@tommysammy you are having 3DVD Players inside X1000 ? Guess you are playing them from Harddrive ? Please give some details about: 1) name of DVD / downloadlink 2) resolution of DVD 3) software used (DVPlayer) 4) settings used This makes it compareable to other systems. As for me, I can still not even play one DVD in full HD on my X1000. But yes, this might be due to havin comercial DVD`s etc.

@diego Good to see this important bounty project coming to fruition! This new library appears to be a little slower than version 53.1 but I'm sure it's much more polished and stable.
