TwinVNC SORTED

Not too shy to talk

I have just installed the latest version of TwinVNC so that I can connect to my MacBook Pro etc. I have apparently made it connect, I get a screen with controls at the top but the main window is just grey, no Mac OSX screen showing, any ideas?

As I don't know much about these things, I take for granted that you have installed Vine on MacOS too right?

Either way it's good to check your firewall settings under MacOSX; if you have any enabled.

Yes I have VineServer installed on the Mac. My Mac says the firewall is currently dissabled!

Just can't stay away

I don't have a Mac to try but it works very well with a Windows7 machine as a host.

Where do I find that info?

Using the IP address or the host name should be the same.
Phantom wanted to know if you tried to connect from the Amiga to another computer than the Mac.

Did you try from another machine to connect to your Mac? You will know if it's a problem on the Mac side or on the Amiga side.

After talking to my friend Robert (Rhino) he looked it up on Mac forums and found out that the Mac has to be logged out before you can access it remotely.

So logged out of the Mac, ran TwinVNC and it connects and you log in via the Amiga.......... happy days
