Still no version on Steam? :(
I submitted BOH to them on April 1, 2010, but they rejected it without giving any motivation. So, I asked the guy who had answered:
Could you tell me the specific reason, please? Is it because you don't think BOH is good enough? Because it's indie? Because it's retro? Whatever? It would be nice to be given a motivation. His reply was:
Has nothing to do with you being indie. There are several reason it is not a good fit include some you have listed below.Since:
* being indie has been excluded,
* "some" excludes that both being retro and not being good enough have to be considered at the same time,
* retro games were available on Steam,
the answer meant: "not good enough", to which maybe some other reason could be added, unless he was just trying to be diplomatic.
Of course I'd have much to say, but here I rather prefer informing you (all) that a couple of persons gave me a heads-up regarding Steam's Greenlight: I'll create a page for BOH and see what happens.
That said, if one doesn't want to buy the digital version directly from me, BOH is also available on GameStop's
Impulse,
Desura from the ModDB guys and
Gameolith, a relatively new platform for Linux.
