There is a new build of SDL on the OS4 SDL google code download page.

End-users should be able to update via AmiUpdate if they prefer. Developers can grab the SDK from the link above.

See the google code change log for changes since the last release (last release was revision 37).

Yeah, our one are 1.2.13, while latest official are 1.2.15, and in changelog i see that:

IME messages are now generated for localized input.
SDL_RWFromFile() takes a UTF-8 filename when opening a file.
The SDL_STDIO_REDIRECT environment variable can be used to override whether SDL redirects stdio to stdout.txt and stderr.txt.
Fixed dynamic object loading on Windows CE.
Mac OS X Notes

SDL now builds on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).

The X11 video driver is built by default.
Fixed SDL_VIDEO_WINDOW_POS environment variable for Quartz target.

No that there is all related (like those X11 problems), but some of them will be nice to apply on our build as well.
