The start up script no longer works for me under Update 5 I have to manually go in the Apache and MySQL drawers and start the individual scripts in there instead.
I had the same problem and i can confirm that the problems are only in the startup scripts..
I sent an email to Edgar and he sent me new scripts that work fine with update 5.. I think i can send you the new script, i don't think Edgar will get angry for this, he is a kind person :)
P.S. A year and a half has passed since your release of AAMP native for OS4. Are you ready for a package update, maybe with another bounty? The AAMP package has MySQL release 5.1.35 and PHP 5.2.10. MySQL is today at release 5.5.28 and PHP at 5.4.8.

I would like to make an update, but I need all my free time for AmiCygnix. Because of some serious problems with the base package, I have to release another update (nearly done). Afterwards several applications are waiting for a release: Gimp 2.6, AbiWord 2.8, Gnumeric 1.10, Audacious, uGet... . Most of them are large packages so I will busy for the next months.
Isn't there gimp 2.8 by now? Or are there things that prevent that version from being ported?
Oh, and are you capable of fixing the problems with the canon canoscan lide 110/200 not working? Or are there newer versions of xsane backgroudn that fixes these issues?
Oh! An updated AmiCygnix is surely badly needed too!!
Go on then, and I will save a bit for donating something to such AmiCygnix update when it will be ready!
Any chance to see some 2D hardware acceleration based on the new AmigaOS4 compositing functions?
p.s. I too would love Gimp 2.8 because of its ability to work in a single window mode. Sadly it relies on GTK 2.6 and I believe Edgar is going to release (from the AmiCygnix readme) "Support of programs compiled for GTK+ 2.24 and GTK+ 3.x".

Yes, there is 2.8 out, but currently I only have 2.6. It was hard work and needed a lot of time (months, if you add the development time of the dependencies). For 2.8 some dependencies are missing. They are not too difficult to solve, but the main reason for releasing 2.6 first is, that I expect 2.8 will be too slow for current OS4 systems. It depends much on GEGL. In parts 2.6 has also support for that and it is dead slow.

Oh, waiting for next release.
There is a new version of the backends available (1.0.23). When I have some time, I will give it a try. Maybe it works with this version. But I'm afraid, I can't fix it without having a Lide 110/200 here.

Uuh - did you have serious problems? (donations are always welcome )

The chances are low, sorry

As said above, Gimp 2.8 is possible but maybe unusable. Gimp 2.6 will be released first.
I have a lide 110 lying here if you want to give it a spin. :) Do you also need a 200 aswell? Can see if i can dig up another one of those aswell.
Whow - this would help me a lot to fix it . Do you need the Lide 110 back? Consider that shipping would be quite expensive and that I cannot promise, that it will work.
As both scanners are using the same backend (genesys) I only would need one of them. (I never had the oportunity to test the genesys backend so far).
Maybe you could create a thread explaining technically what should be done so that other developers could help.
Thanks for the update, BTW
That's the point - I don't really understand, where I should start. The code it too complex for me. I've tried some solutions, but nothing made finally sense
