Re: Let's Make Tunenet Plugins!

Since the command line program has configurable frequency, I'd like any plugin to have that as well, so that RSID stuff plays also when you're using the computer.

HVSC (recently) has a file DOCUMENTS/Songlengths.txt , that would be very useful to support as well (IMO a major point for a plugin). They made it with MD5 sums, so the sid files can be loaded from anywhere.

I already have a plugin based on sidplay2-resid that plays .sid files but it still needs a little more work before I want to release it.

I'd still like to add subsong and Songlengths.txt support and maybe configuration with a .ini file like with the sidplay2 program so you can set frequency and other such settings.

salass00, sweet!

what about STIL?

It is a textfile that contains extra info on the tunes, an entry looks like this:

/DEMOS/A-F/Demi-Demo_4.sid
TITLE: Smoke on the Water [from Machine Head] (0:00-0:06)
ARTIST: Deep Purple
COMMENT: Small segments of "Smoke on the Water" plays throughout this tune.

so if you have the HVSC sid collection it is easy to find the tune info. It contains some trivia and stuff. Is it possible to display this in tunenet in some way? if it's not possible to add it to the info window, maybe it could be added after the songname? i think tunenet scrolls long songnames?

STIL is a part of HVSC these days.
HVSC can be downloaded here:
http://www.prg.dtu.dk/HVSC/HVSC_57-all-of-them.zip

you'll find it in DOCUMENTS/Stil.txt

the songname could look like this:

Smoke on the Water [from Machine Head] (0:00-0:06) COMMENT: Small segments of "Smoke on the Water" plays throughout this tune.

The artist could be displayed in the artist field in tunenet.

maybe this wasn't the best example, but, yes, (0:00-0:06) is part of the name. just to make that clear.

Anychance someone here could come up for a Microphone input/mixer plug in?

Then I could finally do webcasts on my Amiga.

salass00, hmmm firstly. i think the plugin needs to be renamed.
as the old sid plugin has the same name. =)

it sounds VERY noisy here. a lot of whitenoise and sometimes a little music in the background...?

ah, when i removed the .ini file it works better.
clean sound now, so maybe some setting is a bit off?
i also noticed the path to songlength.txt is wrong, but maybe that's hardcoded?

And so FINALLY we have a proper SID plugin based on the resid sidplayer! Thanks again Salass00, a new little piece of appreciation will be sent as soon as i get some new cash! :)
There's another plugin still left there that will earn you some greens. Hint: it supports shitloads of formats!
