Coming soon from AmiBoing...

I just stumbled upon a youtube video of a game that will be released soon by AmiBoing. It looks nicely polished with good graphics, just like all of their previous releases.

Just like Swamp Defence it looks really well presented, but just like Swamp Defence, it is a clone of a game that I really don't like

If they made a slick modern clone of the C64 game sensitive or something like that, I'd be all over it

Obey the christmas presents!

Now you are talking. I remember wasting lots of time playing Sensitive.

Like all the best games it was simple but very addictive

i think it doesn't use the sdl, it is amiga native and it uses the compositing feature because it seems very fast

Yes, they didn't use SDL: they explain since their first releases year or two ago, that they use fully amiga native stuff (ahi, compositing and co). They even point out that their games are first ones which use aos4+ new features.

As for me their games deserve to be on os4 CD in Extras, as they just done proffesionally by proffesionals. And while those games just casual ones, they still slick, fast, good looking, good designed, their site is done good, looks good, with nice looking graphics, and so on and so on. One of the not so many examples of how things (even if it just casual games) should be done.

SwampDefence and RiverPirates on my Sam460 have a graphic problem when you play in window mode, they have some little graphic corruption, if u remember well i've already tell you that, i just report again because now i upgraded with Up5 & RadeonHD 0.53 but the problem is still here

The scrolling in the Bubbelsche engine is really nice and fast. I hope that they expand on it later to make some platformers and shootemups, constuction kits so that users could easily create their own games would be even better.

Did you try disabling DMA in Picasso96 (which I'm sure that I would have suggested last time)? That solves the graphics corruption in SwampDefence. AFAIK, the root cause of that corruption has still not been found.

IIRC, when you tried it, it was for some other problem, and not the game.
