OK... can one of you open NetSurf and go to about:Choices and paste it all in here?

@mr2

Yes, that's what I mean by "user" - your username (which is usually Default and may be forced to that in the future)

Snapshot window does work, but if you want it to persist across sessions you need to save settings afterwards.

So you've managed to save it once? Was that through the menu item rather than the prefs GUI?

It looks like it might be crashing purely due to the window closing, but I guess clicking "cancel" or the close gadget doesn't crash it?

Yeah, thats strange... I dont remember, probably through the menu item.
It doesnt crash when I close or click "cancel"... Will do more tests later. Im in bed with my tablet ;)

EDIT: OK, quick test. "Choices" is almost empty after first run. Then I did snapshot and save prefs through the menu item and voila we have "Choices" file from my previous post.

#631->No change...

I forgot to say that after ignoring it everything is OK and I can save/use changes in prefs...

EDIT. With earlier versions (eg. #628) I could save/use prefs after ignoring DSI and it happened only once. Another attempt to save/use changes did not cause DSI. With #631 every time I try to save/use changes (in one session) DSI appears.

Thanks for the quick fix !

Just a curiosity, a bit related to that, could be possible to implement a method to dragging/save locally (to hard disk or RAM) any other elements from NetSurf rathen then only text files ?

For example with Firefox we can save locally any type of image just dragging them from Firefox --> to desktop (almost on Firefox under Windows)

What do you think ?

@samo79

Already possible.

Ctrl+LMB: save in original format
Ctrl+MMB: save in IFF format

You can even save entire pages like that, where LMB does a "save complete" and MMB saves just the HTML. Obviously you need to be over a random part of the page rather than an image for that to work.

(SVG doesn't seem to work though, and neither is the icon moving during the drag, I'll need to fix both of those)

Hi again!

Typing text has become really slow with the latest versions.

NS640 behave unresponsive when you f.i. write your username or password.

Using 2.9 typing is much faster.
