I see AmiUpdate has been telling me that 2.15 update is available. Has anyone have/had any issues so far with this new update?

Update where is the risk: in case of malfunctioning you'll always be able to rollback to previous version.

Yes you would think so but the last update (forget which one) gave me a problem where I wasn't getting any updates at all for quite some time. It wasn't till later that I read on the forums to rollback as there was a bug in the latest update.

It was also mentioned on the main page at www.amiupdate.net, so that should be your first port of call for any latest news.

Prefs doesn't want to run if you call it from AmiUpdate (since 2.19), but it runs if you run it from APPDIR:. It says the following:

Quote:
The application "Updates" has opened version 1 of the
interface "application", but tried to pass version 2
tag definitions to application.lib!

Please inform the author about the problem.

Note: The called function (and hence probably the application itself) will fail now.

Also I got a DSI error, when AmiUpdate tried to install the latest 2.20 version. I got it when it tried to copy the CopyStore.relnotes file (actually it didn't find it to overwrite it as I have renamed this already).

Same error message when trying to go to Prefs, but no DSI

Although this happens here with 2.20 which were installed with the last update.

The Danish catalog won't install properly though

I got the same message (can't open the Prefs window), but no GR here

You don't get a DSI error, because you haven't renamed the file to anything else obviously. If you rename it to something else, then the installer will not find it, and you got a DSI error.

Well, not so sound harsh, but i don't think this is a bug...renaming files before the install process finished will bring every program down.

It shouldn't probably crash, but still this is a user fault

This particular one is a user fault, indeed.

Nonetheless, AmiUpdate2.20 IS crashing when it updates itself. It happened to me yesterday, and I definetly have not changed anything in its path. Danish and Greek catalog arent updated properly, too.

SAM440ep with Update 5 here.

Hi Simon,
Just tried to update to 2.20 from 2.18 and had to install manually. amiupdate kept telling me there was an update "installed:2.18 update: 2.20" and when I selected it told me it would restart with the new version.
Which hadn't been installed, just put in the unpacked directory in ram:
Anyway, as I said installed manually, and version 2.20 updated the amiupdate locale files. So it appears to be fine.

I still get the non-installing Danish catalog every time i start AmigaOS4

I did install by hand (automatically is not possible) and i have a Danish subdir with both catalogs inside...still it says it's not installed
