Probably this screenshot will help you how to configure SSDR?

I am nor able to save the result of my choice. I can test it: OK i can use it : OK

When i try to save i get this error message cannot open 'FKey' file.

Snoopy does not tell me where it looks for this file. i did read something like 'directroy not tracked'
Maybe it was created on your system with an older version of Fkey??
Can you verify where it is on your system and post what it contains?

FKey should be launched from the WBstartup prefs (working absolutely fine here)to have it resident...

@JosDuchIt
I don't understand why you get that error message, doesn't really make sense to me: FKey saves all it's configuration information in it's .info (icon) file.

So it should work unless you have done something really wierd like store the FKey executable in one location, but then soft link to another location & have it's .info file there.

You might also check that the "FKey.info" file is not write protected (for some strange reason). The following Shell command should fix that if it is the case:
Protect SYS:Utilities/Commodities/FKey.info +RWED

P.S. Assigning it to the Alt-Tab key is kind of genius. All we need now is for SSDR to listen to Alt-Tab, so that we can cycle through the screens using the keyboard...

Thanks Lio & ChrisH

Works now. I think not having FKey in my commodities list may have caused problems , although i succeeded after different trials to attach the 'RUN c:SSDR'command to Fkey (visible in the icon's tooltypes as
!"RCOMMAND TAB!" RUN C:SSDR

Strange that you don't have Fkey in the Commodities drawer.
Anyway, it should work in other directories as well so it's a bug.

Maybe some OS4 betatester can check this and report a bug (I 'm away from my Amiga right now)

I think what he is saying is that he didn't have it started in (e.g.) WBStartup prefs, so it didn't show up in Exchange (and wasn't running as a commodity at all). This is of course a very good reason for it not to work as expected .

Best regards,

Niels
