Thank you to have resolved the Dead keys problem. Very nice.

And I hope that you will find a solution for my new problem of standalone scripts who don't find, since this update, the X server.

There are no changes made to the support of the numeric keyboard, sorry.

@all

Just uploaded the tools package with better support of non ISO-8859-1 keyboards (e.g. Leafpad) .

Amazing! Edgar, you are great

I tried Leafpad and finally we can use our special characters.

Waiting for AbiWord update...

Once again, THANKS A LOT

PS. With a new display driver windows are movable, now...much faster.

Awesome work, Edgar! Downloaded the amicygnix-base and it is working better than ever! Quick question though... the amicygnix-tools still seems to be the old version on os4depot...

Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks!!

Now â (for instance) works, even in Abiword. But there is still a problem with " : I use a swiss keyboard and the combo " + a doesn't give ä but å. Other combos of umlaut don't give anything (happily, my keybord has ö ü ä accessed directly).

Thanks to KL, I find my problem with Gimp Standalone script
I have just removed the PROGARGS value

;Set PROGARGS "--geometry=${DEF_WINWIDTH}x${DEF_WINHEIGHT}+0+0"
Set PROGARGS " "

Strange, before it worked and it works like that for AbiWord (presently).

At least, all is working now !!!

Does it also not work with the new Leafpad binary? And if it doesn't, does it work with Notepad?

Yes, I can confirm that " (umlaut) doesn't work with any other key, only with standalone keys like you find in Swiss and German keyboards :
ö ä ü. But if I want ë (like in French Noël for Christmas), it doesn't work because I have to hit first the umlaut key (which is NOT an ALT key) and then the vowel.
It doesn't work neither with the new leifpad.

Ah and also ' (standalone acute accent) doesn't get appended onto the appropriate vowel, like ó or ú ...

@Ricossa

To get a "ë" you must type "Alt + k" and afterwards "e". Currently this only works with the new Leafpad, AbiWord needs an update.

Does it work correctly with Notepad?

alt-k works amiga-side (notepad) but not cygnix side (leafpad)
