The problem whit files on OS4Depot.net is that most of what is uploaded is for none profit, so selling or distributing CD or ISO might conflict whit the software licence.
PS! if you find any of my programs uploaded to any other place then OS4Depot then that software might have been tampered with, as OS4Depot is the only pace I upload software.

Thats a lot of work. It would probably be much easier to create a monthly index file similar to the recent/full ones available now in a format where you can just throw them at wget, curl or preferably charon to batch download. For the format just list the full url of the file with nothing else.

Origin, I didn't know about it and honestly I think is a good idea! and it would be a good idea to include such cd inside a complete amiga system. When a new user come back to the amiga world and buy a new amiga system (sam or x-1000), receives (for free) an os4depot cd with the lastest public software. The same thing happened back in time with AminetCD (and Aminet wasn't free).
Try to speak with Trevor and Acube about this project and see what they think about it. I think it could be a good project and that it can help the new user to find out more easily what software they need for theirs new amigas!
@orgin Imho m3x from Acube always sounds like smart enough man, and if you still have any interst in, i assume that they will be happy to sold their sams with os4 + os4depot DVDs. As well as amikit ppls will be imho in interest to pack sam computers with os4 and os4depot cds/dvds. And Trevor will be in interst imho with his x1000. And that all have only needs to print disks and burn them. Maybe also some small doc about os4depot itself as bonus and co. Nothing radical, but only pluses for newbes.
I mean that Hyperion do only OS itelf, no full computers or HW, its even not their busines how those computers and with what they will be sold. The ppls to ask (at least now) its all the other HW ppls (acube/aeon and amikit as shop), who prove be always smart enough and good for contacts and right deals.
@kas1e You are correct. Hyperion is focused on AmigaOS alone so they wouldn't be the right guys to take on such a project.
ACube and AmigaKit are the distributors that should be approached. AmigaKit handle the Classic and X1000 versions. ACube handle all the other versions. What I mean by "handle" is that they print manuals, press CDs, create packaging, etc. Hyperion provides them with the ISO images and serial numbers.
I agree with Elwood. Physical media has had it's day.
Due to program updates, the Aminet CDs were often out of date by the time they were made. They served a purpose when access to the web was limited for many Amigans.
Perhaps, as already mentioned an OS4Depot USB stick bundled with complete HW systems would be a useful compromise. But how commercially viable is it for a reseller?
