By using FF one day we'll have this. I doubt that we'll ever have JITed Javascript in FF (although never say never).

The initial excitement around tw has passed. The development seems to have halted.

That is good to read. My post simply states how it seemed. In fact I have had confirmation from the Friedens that work continues! Happy days and thanks to those involved.

FireFox is a big program, you should not expect updates too often, its probably lots of fixing to get one singel version ported over.

The title of the thread is 'Lack of progress', in truth its more a case of 'Lack of new news' as 'progress' is an unknown variable to those outside the circle.

@djrikki That is a good point. A blog following the ups and downs of TW dev would be welcomed.

No, that some one within the "circle of trust" writes it. There are plenty of bloggers in that circle.

Don't confuse the Timberwolf project with anything to do with official Hyperion/OS4 business.

As someone who also struggles with health problems that affect how much time I can use a computer, I hope you are feeling better and have no more limitations on the amount of time you can do your coding work. Take care, and get well soon, if you are not already back to 100%.

@Fairdinkem More likely it's on the back burner now that the Friedens lost motivation and there is a working stop-gap alternative.

@trixie Are you speculating that they have "Lost motivation" or do you know something we don't ?
