Steffen Haeuser of Hyperion working on new open sourced FPS game..

I was hoping that someone may have some info on what game this might be.

That thread from AW.Net says an open source commercial FPS. I suspect that may rule out Red Eclipse.

Unfortunately, Steffen has been disconnected from Hyperion for quite some time now.

As to what he's working on, no idea...

You pay too much attention to that imho. Ppls who do good stuff in terms of game-ports are well-known (huno, afxgroup, salas00). And ppls who do original games too: amiboing. Do not expected anything from forum posts where someone says that he works on something.

Doom3 and RedEclipse quite easy to port (i already ported RedEclipse to os4 some time ago, just because of some bugs wasn't released), and doom3 just need shaders. Both are ported to aros already, so its all quite trivial and once gallium,then.

You are probably right. However I see that Stefan did work out the QuakeII ports for Hyperion.

Warpview is by Stephen Fellner AKA Cobra, unless you're talking about something other than the Warp3D enabled image viewer.

No there is a old one called WarpViewAGA on Aminet.

I didn't hear this name since ages and ages ago
