Alfkil as Guillaume scream it out: please keep a backup now ! :D
A weekly backup is always the correct habit to avoid any possible problems, as american said: #OOPS# happens

Well, most of my stuff can be reconstructed fairly easily, ie. most of my code is on repositories, otherwise I do keep backups in different places. Most of my personal files are in my dropbox. But yes, I am going to go through things. And by the way I just committed to the qt repo ;)

Do you mean your AmigaOS specific repository at:
http://sourceforge.net/p/qtamigaosnative/ Or into the official Qt repository ?

Alfkil, is sound support totally out of the question? Have you looked at gstreamer? Maybe we don't need to port all of gstreamer? What parts of Qt are you worrking on now? Got any roadmap you wanna share? There's lots of interesting apps under the audio and video category. Sound support is my absolute top wish.

Looking at the basic deps for gstreamer... Required to build: textproc/flex Check (i think) devel/gobject-introspection no idea what this is... devel/bison we don't have this, just an old 68k port but i think it can be worked around devel/pkgconf check devel/gmake check devel/libtool check Required To Run: devel/gobject-introspection again, no idea... devel/gio-fam-backend no idea... Required Libraries: devel/gettext i thi k we have this devel/glib20 ouch, nope, big one. devel/pcre not sure... textproc/libxml2 yepp... It does look like somewhat of a beast...

I have no idea about the new version, but you can use this as a starting point for the old one:
http://aminet.net/package/dev/lib/gstreamer_os4 And a starting point for glib:
http://aminet.net/package/dev/lib/glib_os4 I have no idea which bits - if any - of the above work.
Blimey, 900 downloads, that's more than a lot of things I've ported that actually work!

Chris, how come you made those two attempts and never tested them? I lack the skills but maybe you and alfkil or someone else could take it forward together?

@spotUP It was mostly out of curiosity. I didn't have anything that needed gstreamer to test it against.
