Yes the openoffice.lha file is indeed a joke made for the 1'st of april event :) With 153 total downloads at the time of writing it certainly shows that there is a great interest for having OpenOffice ported to our platform. Let's hope that the Amiga OpenOffice team can show some progress before it turns 1'st of april again :)

For those that do not already know. The lha file was actually a BMP file (format selected for the insane size it produces, microsoft style. And so that it would take atleast some amount of investigating to find out that it was all a joke.). For those who downloaded the file, select your favourite image viewer that can handle BMP and open the file.

I do wonder what kinds of tricks will be attempted this year. What would be really cool is if somebody ships hardware with OS4 running on it on April 1 for real. That would blow our freaking Amiga minds and give the usual troll brigade a heart attack at the same time. Win-win.
