It's all explained on the page that mr2 linked to (
here). In brief:
- Pegasos 2 - forget it; the firmware won't detect the Radeon HD card
- A1-XE (without DMA fix) - will work in a 33 MHz slot; won't be detected when plugged into the 66 MHz slot
- A1-XE (with DMA fix) - partially works; see the compatibility page (linked above) for details
In both cases, things could be improved with a firmware update. That's not going to happen for the Peg2, as their firmware is closed-source and they have no interest in fixing it. Billt
intends to look at fixing UBoot for the A1-XE, but there are no guarantees or time-frames.
The best option remains to upgrade to a PCI-Express capable machine like the Sam460ex or A1-X1000 (or A-EON's project Cyrus board, when it's done).
