Same here, but only in full screen.
In window mode, a yellow line cross the window from top to bottom, but only with 8bit active.

If 8 bit is unchecked, all is fine.

Tested with Quadra 900 ROM and OS 8.0 in a SAM440 Flex at 800.

AmigaOne X5000 OS4.1 FEU1 And Lubuntu 10.04
1200 towered with Blizzard PPC - BVision and Mediator
And a new fantastic Chameleon64

Aha, the old problem whit revere endien.

The first 4 pixel are revered, and then the next 4 pixel, what I don't understand is way you can read MacOS in middle of the screen.

It is really more slow compared with the G4 of pegasos but this is the prize...
Hope you will fix it for the peg machine 8)

note on the Sam460 im using a really Mac partition and it is working

The speedometer continue dont show the results.

I have done some optimizing in uae_cpu/memory.h

It kind looked bad, because it was a function calling a function called an other function.
I have rewritten most to use macros whit inline assembler.

Because if you ever dis-compile something like that you know huge amount of crap GCC generates when you use functions alone.

Okay this is not JIT, but I think its the best I can do, it does improve video playback on Warcraft II, I can almost turn of frame skip now on the X1000, I think I have few more frames in Duke Nuke em, and I think the music is more in sync in Monkey Island.

I think the yellow thing is OS4 issue or graphic card issue, don't think I can fix that, I was thinking of making a buffered version of the 8bit full screen, its faster then converting to 32bit, and issues are going to go away, whit picasso lock bitmap, instead of using the BMA address direct.

The MMU hack stuff in 0.9, I don't know how does that work for you?

So what graphic card do you use?
What applications and OS are you emulating when it crashed?
What did you do when it crashed?

Function *Get_disp* might be something interesting, it hard to say what happens when composition fails.

If your using a old update, there are no granites.

On board M9

Applications: none
Just booting an old hardfile (7.1?) from shapeshifter. The same settings works fine in full-screen mode but just freeze in window & window-compositing modes

>What did you do when it crashed?
It only crash in window-compositing mode when moving a window

I know I know .... but this Sam440 is not online and serve only for compiling/testing my own programs

Hi, could you improve EUAE adding a window compositing mode? I asked it some months ago but anyone worked on it, look at:

yes composition on euae for sure will speed up the operation and in junction with the jit we will have a super great result ... im sure about this

this is my recent test about euae sdl on os4.1.6.60 on pegasos2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLedJuSKLOI
compare my result of video with this ;)

http://www.retrocomputing.net/parts/c ... 600/a600de/howupgrade.htm

and immagine an Euae Jit+Composition+Gl what ll can do :P

There is a new Wip version of euae with many improvments i hope will exit a new sdl version with libboostygfx from hunoPPC because will make euae render in Opengl and Overlayscreens and a compositing version too.

and if will be a Altivec compiled version better more and more :P :P :P : P

Last night work on Basilisk II.

Added B/W to full screen, convert B/W to 8bit mode, should be faster than converting to 32bit,
(not yet assembler optimized.)

Changed 8bit to use video buffer in full screen, due to problems when moving windows on X1000.
(Simple copy to screen, no endian conversion for now, probably going to use Picasso96 lock/unlock)
I'm thinking about making this an option.

GUI, frame skip and line skip can now not be negative values.

In window mode, a yellow line cross the window from top to bottom, but only with 8bit active.

Composition is made up of triangles, the effect your taking about is likely some difference between rendering from one graphic card to another, or driver issue.

Way you don't see it in 32bit I don't know, do you use the same whit and height in 8bit as you do in 32bit or different.

Looks really nice, so you can play XTR that's nice.

I asked Freescale about it, they looked for me but they were unable to find any beginner guides, I have looked all over the net, all I find is some broken links to some Apple web pages, and some hyped documents about how Altivec is the best, and some code that looks complex not beginner friendly. There are no good step by step guides, so in other words, Altivec optimizing is not going to be something I do.

I guess someone is going to say now that but GCC support altivec optimizing or something like that, yes but GCC is poor at guessing what it can be optimize, pluss if its compiled for altivec you can't run it on other computers does not support it, we can however isolate Altivec code in inline assembler.

I dont know mate with example Mplayer Altivec in junction with av_codec_library altivec i can see the boost of video/audio rendering decoding ...
On a big mkv full hd 1080p i see an increasing of 3/4 frames the example movie go at 11/ 12 and usually 7/8 fps ... every become 1/2 more faster 8)

I believe it's about 4 operations that can be executed at the same time, whit altivec,

1) The first step is unroll loops.

2) This enables you to see what can be executed at the same time, as vectors.

if you do not try to unroll loops it's likely that you want be able to take full advantage of altivec, that is all I know, so its likely there are more CPU power that can be saved, maybe its possible to get 22/24 frames if you do it correct.

This is what I know about your crash..

function op_2010_0() emulates:
MOVE.L (An),Dn

some how get_disp_ea_020(), it does not look like it called from there but it most likely a marco,
get_disp_ea_020() some how calles do_get_mem_long()

does nothing but return the content of what is on the address, it does not convert the address or anything like that.

R9 is 0x522AC460

when it crashes at lwz r0,0(r9)

What I do not know is what MacOS was doing when it was running MOVE.L, and I do not know what 0x522AC460 is.

Failure to read from 0x522AC460, means the memory was not allocated, so was it the wrong address? Was it because of a failure to allocate memory.

And we do not have memory MAP of the emulated MAC, this is problem, so we can't se if it was memory bonedry that was read outside of.

The rest of the crash log, Devices and Libraries, AGP, Stack, 680x0, FPR registers.
Are generally useless information.
