X1000 boot time is not much representative, I do remember there was a thread (on AW.net?) on how to shave off boot time.
I do remember most important find out to speed up boot was set pmu=A4 (switch to 1800Mhz), getting gfx card that initialize / change resolutions faster (any champ) and eventually commenting out kickstart file.
On first one, how to save it permanently. Any more CFE related advices?
Surely, last step was most tricky and NOT advised by Hyperion, but e.g. there are always things that will never be used (Voodo, Sil controller etc.) and surely is adviced to backup original files, but saves both boot time and OS resources.
and last Amigan question, is there something that can be commented out from S:startup-seq,user startup, net startup
Strip down user-startup to essentials. Delete old prefs file for program you don't have in envarc: Edit the kickstart startup file, and remove drivers you don't use for hardware you don't have. Change bootdelays for the menu.

You really are not going to make that much difference, even by cutting down the startup scripts to a bare minimum. The difference will only be a few seconds at best.

It really isn't worth the trouble, you might save a couple of seconds, 5% improvement is the most you'll get. These threads and the editing etc have probably taken up the time you'll save rebooting for the next few years...

Dont touch startup-sequence as you dont know if something fails in future. You will not save much time there anyway. Disabling some stuff in kicklayout can save you about 2 seconds. I disabled stuff i dont have use for like for all the sii cards, gfx like voodoo, scsi etc.
I dont think you will find stuff that can be speedup the boot so much, maybe if there would come some sort of speeded up update version of firmware but i dont think so. Even SSD wont speed it up. Didnt for me. But then using it in workbench speeds up some read/writes etc.
Well SSD would improve part where AmigaOS / maybe Linux boot from time when CFE is done. PMUState A4 and Menu delay=1 are good enough there, a bit of kickstart shave off, and in the end SSD with garbage collector for 01/01/2014 (my B-day) and one day maybe RadeonHD 7000 that has faster initialization and that would do about 50% from what I have seen first time it booted to OS4.
On Linux side, PMUstate A4 shaves off half time itself.

Don't count on it. While the initialization time for these cards do vary, there's no pattern as to which models have longer or shorter init times. The only way to find one that initialises faster than the card that you have, would be to buy a heap of different cards and test them one by one.

No idea, really. I don't know how fast the same card initialises in an x86 PC,** nor do I know what specifically causes some cards to initialise slower than others.
The initialisation code in the VGABIOS is x86 code, so x86 machines do inherently have an advantage. PowerPC machines have to execute that code using an x86 interpreter. However, I wouldn't expect that to make a big difference.
