Nemo boards for sale at amigakit

Now you can order just the motherboard(nemo) of the x1000.
Let's hope people who have shouted about lack of this option, now opens their wallet.

I was in hope for something like 1k$ for pure mb+cpu combo, but its still 2.800$, which is not much cheaper in compare with full mobo .. Or at least 1500$, but its still the same ~3k as it was before.

Well 1775 pounds definitely isn't cheap, but thinking of it - didn't I just splash out 1000 pounds on my quarterly rent? Why on earth didn't I buy the board instead? It'd have been all mine, whereas now the money is with my Italian ice-cream seller landlord

It would be convenient to live in a 5.25" drive bay like a true hikikomori. Good luck getting funding for that "tiny" project.

not surprising at all as the case, dvd, HD etc is the minimal cost of the X1000 and it's plain and simple for everyone to get locally.

my understanding from A-Eon's Amiwest speech was for people to save hundreds of dollars on shipping the full heavy box around the world.

and most people have spare parts floating around. like gfx card,psu,ram etc.

No, they don't. Unless you are defining the target audience very strictly, which is seldom a good idea.

I was thinking the same, between a range of 1500 - 1800 euros. Either way, no big deal. People that they don't want to spend approx. 3000 euros for the AmigaOne X1000, they can wait for the new AmigaOnes or buy a Sam460 instead.

people asked for the motherboard alone for a long time now, you know? some people really do want the ability to source their own parts. so here's the deal:

1. if you are going to order the motherboard+parts from amigakit, don't. buy the full system and save money.

2. if you have components already or want to purchase your own, buy the motherboard by itself and save money.

get it? there are two types of customers here, and they're trying to cater to both. constant whinging about the prices doesn't make them go down.

Eliyahu is right, as last year I asked for the motherboard only, but I bought the complete system as I had no choice. Either way, I never regretted this.

I looked, and couldn't see where I complained about price. Nor accompany someone to the same effect.

On the contrary, I think buying just a board should be viewed as an easy solution, just follow instructions.

I would save about US$560 to get the motherboard only shipped to Canada. Getting the other parts (HDD, gfx card, case, etc...) after would probably cost about the same price.

It's really a matter of preference if you want the board only or the whole system. It's not much about the savings.

@mr2 no you forgot OS 4.1, its not included in the price....oh and the Backplate for 12 euro.....

...it looks similar, the price of OS is included.

About 4.2, it was kind of reward/extra value for all customers.

Did not try but it means you have to add OS no matter you buy just mobo or a full system. The only thing to concider is a free OS 4.2 upgrade when you buy X1000 system.
