I have just tried playing Red Alert with FPSE -WIP7 under AOS4 Final. The games starts ok, however, the logo appears only in B&W and the mouse does not synch with the Amiga mouse. Does anyone else suffer this? Played fine under update 4. I have tried the compiler on and off. Any suggestions?

I can only find FPSE 0.09, Amiga revision 3 (020515) on Amidog's website

Are you using the FPSE009R3-OS4R3.lha (040920) release? If not, try downloading it from my homepage.

Make sure MDEC is set to color, fullscreen is used (configure the GPU plugin) and that you are using the joy0mouse.dll plugin.

If none of this helps, which version of Red Alert are you using? An SCEE xxxxx/SCEA xxxxx/... number would be helpful.

You may be a bit deeper in the latest infos regarding FPSE(?)

I know LDChen switched to do a Handheld version only(?), but what about
portability to OS4 and new (full) versions?

Can you share some insights, please?

PS: The latest OS4 build from your website locks up on exit

The version was actually 040719. My apologies to folks as I added the WIP numbers as I tried your program (just remembered that). I'll try you latest before I belly ache any more.

Will you release a Open/MiniGL (whatever we have, can't remember) version of the latest sources
or rather wait for the next big release?

Not that i'd be able to use it, that is, i'm on a Radeon9800 here and have to wait some
more for GL to happen, but it would still be nice to have hardware accelerated gfx output on PS games.

No MiniGL, but there's a Warp3D GPU plugin available since a year or so. Click the WIP section on my homepage and download gpuw3d.

edit: Using Warp3D directly rather than the OpenGL-wrapper MiniGL is faster and somewhat more flexible.

I downloaded your latest version but try as I may I cannot get it to run, in fact upon exiting it freezes my A1 requiring a cold reboot. Upon starting the logo runs fine then suddenly the creen turns to grey and black, all games take forever to load and none mange to load completely (with and without the compiler on) , could this be to do with the new memory system and graphics in OS4 Final?

I'll wait for your new version before trying again.

Appreciate you still working on this program.

Just tried the new version, is really fast, and the colours in 16bit corrected again

Did you not make Amiga Input plug-in?

There will be an AmigaInput plugin included with the next FPSE release. There is none available for the old 0.09 releases.

Got the latest version working. Looks like I had some clashes with either screenblanker engine or switcher 3d. However on exiting FPSE all still freezes, is that normal under AOS4 Final?

FPSE exits cleanly if spunull.dll is used. With sound output, it always freezes on exit; ahi problem?
