zzd10h and Chris, I also have dual graphics cards in my X1000 and also noticed the lag. Just chiming in so zzd10h won't feel alone. ;) I have noticed that my secondary card is #0 and my main card is #1 but I do not know if it's possible to reverse this. Perhaps that might be some clue??? Good luck and good work with the NetSurf project!

Alleluia, I'm not alone :) Mrbrantley, If I remember well You have 2 RadeonHD cards, right ? Could you try to see with SysMon if memory is allocated in you card number 0 when you use NetSurf ? And if yes, could you send me (or post) a grab ?

zzd10h, I am on my X1000 right now running NetSurf 3.0, with the frequent little freezes of a second or two. I have two RadeonHD cards -- a 6850 and a 4350. They are identified as 01 and 02 not 00 and 01 as I said. Here is what SysMon shows before running NetSurf (the 4350 shows up as RV710 on the list, but nothing is displayed by that card right now; my second monitor is blank)... 01 Radeon RV710 247 Mb 02 Radeon HD 6800 Series 200 Mb This is what is says after launching NetSurf... 01 Radeon RV710 238 Mb 02 Radeon 6800 Series 188 Mb So a little memory is taken from each card, although as I said the 01 card is not displaying a screen right now.

And... if somebody running OS4 beta wants to try out the following executable (it'll need renaming and copying over a full NetSurf 3.0 install), I'm interested to know if it crashes when there are entries in the hotlist menu, and if that menu displays and works correctly.

No problem here.
I hope it's planned to show the hotlist directly into the menu so that we can select an entry without opening yet another window
Right now, the menu shows these 3 items:
Add to hotlist
Show hotlist
-separation bar-

Move some items into the "Hotlist menu" folder within the hotlist and try again (you'll need to quit/restart NetSurf for them to show up as the menu isn't dynamic yet)

@samo79 Is that the absolute latest version? Can you delete your Choices file and try again? There have been lots of changes to the options code and deleting Choices is recommended anyway.

I've merged the thingy for beta testers in, so if any OS4 beta testers see anything odd or new NetSurf builds are crashing please let me know.

Recent development builds now use an updated version of our libcss library. It makes a significant optimisation to the amount of time NetSurf spends applying CSS rules to document elements to discover their style. The improvement is in NetSurf CI builds from #1508 onward. For more details about the change to libcss and profiling results, see this posting:http://vlists.pepperfish.net/pipermai ... 2013-December/003230.html

The summary of changes since NetSurf 3.0 is worth reading too:
http://vlists.pepperfish.net/pipermai ... 2013-December/012099.html In fact, anybody in this thread using the development builds ought to sign up for the NetSurf-users mailing list.

@kas1e Hmm, I've seen that problem before. I'll have a look at it.
